Yesterday rooms 3,4 and 5 from Ahipara school had a gaming day. In the morning the people that brought the gaming equipment talked about gaming and careers. Then we got into groups and my group name was the Chocky milk. After the first two groups went and gamed we all had a limo pizza for all of the groups and my group scoffed it up. After pizza, it was my group's turn to game. The games were Fortnite, Among us, Fall guys, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Counterstrike. I thought gaming day was really fun.
Kia ora! I am a Year 6 student in Room 5 at Ahipara School, in the Far North of New Zealand. My teacher is Ms Peters. This is where I share my learning. Please leave a positive, thoughtful, helpful comment.

Water safety
W.A.L.A. water safety
Blurb: Yesterday Whaea Nancy came in and talked to me and my class about water safety. She taught us the dangers of rivers, boats, rips, and the ocean.
Reflection: I am glad Whaea Nancy came in because I learnt a lot about how dangerous water can be.
I found it hard to: Huddle with the class and sing.
I found it easy to: Answer her Questions.

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2021 virtual classroom
The past week we have been learning about Te Wiki o te Reo Māori.
I learned that to introduce yourself in Te Reo you have to say your name, where you are from, where your ancestors are from, and where you live.
I also learned that Te Reo dropped to a shocking 20% usage in Aotearoa.
