Today we learned about Tongan Language week.  We found out Tongan words for numbers and words.

   

 Reflection

What I found easiest was writing down the work and finding good facts.

What I found hardest was researching facts and next time I will try to work faster.

Holiday recount holiday highlights

W.A.L.T.  write about our holiday recount.  

 This week our teacher wanted us to write about something we did in the holidays and mine is about getting towed on a boogie board.

I found It easy to make a background.

I found it hard to write the recount.

Next time I will add more detail.

Manaakitanga

 

Today we have been making a Manakitanga poster and here's mine.

The hardest thing was making the poster the part. 

I enjoyed was putting in the gifs.

Next time I could add more detail.

Maui myths and legends

 Myths and legends. Long ago when mankind began to count the years there lived Maui.  He was a boy god.  His power was he was indestructible and had the strength of all gods joined together.

He lived at the top of a sacred mountain in a secret cave.  One day he had to go out to do work gathering fish for the tribe.   

The sun was going very fast across the sky.  So he tried to find a way to make the sun go slower because he didn't have time to fish.  So he covered himself in ice and flew like the wind until he reached the sun. He demanded that the sun go slower during the day. He blew his icy cold breath over the sun.

¨Stop. Iḿ freezing. Youĺl put my fire out!¨ begged the sun.

The sun couldn't stand the cold ice so he promised to go slower. So now Maui had enough time to fish.
